Poet Laureate
The Alabama Writers' Conclave nominates the Poet Laureate for the State of Alabama. In 2003, Governor Bob Riley appointed Sue Walker of Mobile Poet Laureate. She is currently serving her second consecutive term (through the year 2012). Read more about Sue Walker here or visit her website here.
